SheSTEM forms partnership with Patuakhali Science and Technology University to strengthen employability opportunities for female STEM graduates

SheSTEM has established a new partnership with Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on September 22, 2024. This initiative seeks to drive greater female representation in STEM careers, addressing the ongoing gender disparity in the STEM sectors of Bangladesh.

The agreement was officially signed by Omar Farhan Khan, Senior Business Consultant and Project Manager at LightCastle Partners, alongside Dr. Md Nurul Amin, Dean of the Department of Environmental Science and Chief Advisor to the Environmental Science and Disaster Management (ESDM) Club. Student representatives from the club were also present at the ceremony.

During the visit to PSTU, LightCastle’s team engaged in discussions with the university faculty and key officials, laying out the framework for SheSTEM’s activities at PSTU. The meeting provided an opportunity to align objectives and explore how this partnership can support the career pathways of female STEM students.

Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), a prominent institution for higher education and research in southern Bangladesh, is recognized for its strong emphasis on science, technology, and environmental studies.
