KUET Business and Entrepreneurship Club (KBEC) Launches “Case Crack 2.0” Under the SheSTEM Initiative

The KUET Business and Entrepreneurship Club (KBEC), under the SheSTEM initiative supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, successfully launched its intra-university business tech challenge, “Case Crack 2.0,” on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the KUET auditorium.

This competition aims to equip KUET STEM students with the skills needed to apply their technical expertise to real-world business and social challenges, enhancing their employability. A key focus of the initiative is increasing female representation in STEM fields in Bangladesh.

The launch event drew over 350 students, including more than 100 female participants. It featured sessions from industry professionals who excelled in business competitions during their academic careers.

Case Crack 2.0 by KUET and SheSTEM

The speakers included Fatima Tasnim Easha, Junior Team Leader at a leading MNC; Mobin Mithun, Junior Product Manager at WeGro Global; Hasrat Humayun, Strategic Assistant at Banglalink; and Rajin Redowan, Consumer Activation Specialist at a leading MNC. These experts shared valuable tips and strategies for solving business cases and presenting solutions effectively.

SheSTEM Event

Students interested in competing are required to form teams of four, with the condition that each team must include at least one female member. Farzana Afrin Tisha, Head of Cloud Technology at BrainStation23, provided an introduction to the business case for the competition.

In addition, distinguished guests Thijs Woudstra, Deputy Head of Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Bijon Islam, CEO of LightCastle Partners; and Md. Sazzad Hossain Khan, an Education  Consultant at a2i, was in attendance to support the initiative.
